Natalie Burtson

Natalie Burtson was, until recently, the head of strategy and transformation delivery for Save the Children US. In her role there she successfully led all strategic planning efforts within the US organization and ensuring alignment with the Save the Children global federation. Key stakeholders included the global and US Boards, senior leadership across the federation and US staff. Additionally, she built and led the change and project management practices within SCUS to ensure successful delivery of large-scale, high-impact enterprise change. She is currently working with Save the Children in a part-time consulting capacity on the Afghan re-settlement efforts in the US after the August withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Prior to Save the Children Natalie spent nearly a decade as a Board member at Near & Far Aid, a non-profit in Fairfield County, CT that funds local organizations fighting poverty on the front lines. In that capacity she wore many hats, from overseeing the major donor portfolio to co-chairing the largest annual fundraising event to leading on strategic planning activities. Prior to that, Natalie spent over a dozen years in the media and entertainment industry as a database marketing expert. This time included stints at Time Warner, The New York Times and Viacom’s Blockbuster.

Natalie holds a BA in Economics from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington and is a Xerox-certified Lean Six Sigma black belt.
