Dr. Stephen S. Tang, Ph.D., MBA, is a mission-driven global public health leader dedicated to expanding equitable access to life-saving health technologies and strengthening health systems worldwide. Throughout his career, he has focused on translating innovation into real-world impact for underserved populations, most notably by guiding OraSure Technologies in the global deployment of rapid, at-home diagnostics for HIV, COVID-19, HCV, and Ebola. Dr. Tang currently serves as Chairman of the Board of NOWDiagnostics, where he helps advance strategies that deliver affordable diagnostics, prevention, and care to communities most in need. His broader board service — including roles with the William & Mary Foundation, Lehigh University, and the National Advisory Council for Innovation & Entrepreneurship to the U.S. Secretary of Commerce — reflects a deep commitment to building sustainable health ecosystems, developing global talent, and fostering cross-sector partnerships.
